COVID-19: LOCKDOWN OF MANUFACTURING AND TRADE BUSINESSES - AMENDMENTS
Annex 1 to the Decree of the President of the Council of Ministers (DPCM) as of 22 March 2020 containing a list of businesses allowed to continue operations was amended on 25 March 2020 by a decree of the Italian Ministry of Economic Development (MISE) (please see annex).
Businesses allowed to continue their operations are now specified in annex 1 to such decree (please see annex), effective as of 26 March 2020.
Please note that this ministerial decree also contains the following further measures:
a) "Temporary-work agencies" (ATECO code 78.2) are allowed to operate within the limits of the operations under annex 1 and annex 2 to the (DPCM) as of 11 March 2020 and annex 1 to the DPCM as of 22 March 2020, as amended by the decree of the Italian Ministry of Economic Development (MISE), only;
b) "Call centres" (ATECO code 82.20.00) are allowed to operate limited to "inbound call centres that respond to user calls through call centre operators by using automatic call distribution systems, computer telephony integration, interactive voice response systems or similar systems able to receive orders, to provide product information, to negotiate with customers providing for assistance or handling claims" and, in any case, within the limits of the operations under annex 1 and annex 2 to the DPCM as of 11 March 2020 and annex 1 to the DPCM as of 22 March 2020, as amended by the decree of the Italian Ministry of Economic Development (MISE);
c) “Business support operations and other services” (ATECO code 82.99.99) are allowed limited to home delivery services for products only.
Companies, whose operations are suspended under this new decree, must complete operations required for the lockdown, including the shipment of warehouse goods, by 28 March 2020 at the latest.
